Nehemiah 2-3

Pastor Michael continues the series in Nehemiah in which he focuses on how we can respond coming on the heals of a global pandemic and the tensions that currently exist in our country. In Nehemiah 2-3, we see that in the face opposition that through prayer and faithfulness, God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things.

Pastor Michael continues the series in Nehemiah in which he focuses on how we can respond coming on the heals of a global pandemic and the tensions that currently exist in our country. In Nehemiah 4-5, we see that opposition always follows faithfulness but as followers of Christ, we must press on. We also see a need for faithful followers to continue loving others and serving generously with their time, talents, and possessions.

In Nehemiah 6-7, we see that when we are following God, there will always be several temptations and distractions but we must complete his calling while knowing that there will always be sacrifices involved.

Nehemiah 8

Johnathan continues the series in Nehemiah in which he focuses on how we can respond coming on the heals of a global pandemic and the tensions that currently exist in our country. In Nehemiah 8, we see that when we are following God, we should have a hunger for God's Word. God's Word, when properly understood, creates worship in God's people leading to transformed lives of obedience. We then see that obedience to God's holy word leads to rejoicing.

Nehemiah 9

Johnathan continues the series in Nehemiah in which he focuses on how we can respond coming on the heals of a global pandemic and the tensions that currently exist in our country. In Nehemiah 9, we see that true confession is accompanied by worship and a renewed desire to go God's way. As we grow in our knowledge of who God is, we will grieve our sin all the more. But praise God, because His mercy runs deeper than our mess!

Nehemiah 10-13

Johnathan continues the series in Nehemiah in which he focuses on how we can respond coming on the heals of a global pandemic and the tensions that currently exist in our country. In Nehemiah 10-13, we see that God's people, apart from God's grace, are powerless to keep God's commands and confrontation of our sin is God's grace in our lives. We also see that having an eternal mindset frees us from being enslaved to people and allows us to live only to please God.

In Ezra 7-8, we see that in order to rebuild, we must prepare our hearts, draw near to God, and God will be the one who is glorified.
